Can I use a virgin mobile phone for t-mobile?

I am under t-mobile and i want to use my friends old virgin mobile phone. Is this possible?
im in the US. could i buy a cheap pre-pay phone and use it with my regular plan?

You have to Unlock the Mobile phone from Current network lock.Then use with GSM Virgin sim card.Because Virgin network available in GSM and CDMA .Only GSM Sim card can be used in Unlocked Phones.Get the unlock code from the site Mobileunlocksolutions.com and unlock it easily.
