Can I use an elephant bell to invoke the Goddess? (pics)?

I have just purchased an elephant bell (unaware of what it was at the time), which are traditionally used in india where they are hung from elephants for a number of reasons. I am not sure whether that would make them inappopriate to use on a Wiccan altar.
