Can I use my Nokia 6288 in America with a different SIM card?

I am travelling to America in June this year and I have a Nokia 6288. i was wondering if this phone would work over there if i used a different SIM card in it?
 
As long as your phone is not SIM- or network-locked, then yes, you can use different sim it..If not get it unlocked initially from any vendors online like SimpleUnlocking.com
