Can I use my US t-mobile cell phone in Europe by just buying a pre paid sim card...

...there? Going to Europe so was wondering if I can just by a pre-paid sim card there and get a local number on my existing phone
 
It is possible but you'll have to get an unlock code for your phone. Its a 6-digit number that will allow you to use any simcard in your phone. Right now its locked for tmobile and only a tmobile sim card will work. You may be able to get the unlock code from tmobile customer service. No promises though.

hi unless you unlock your phone from t-mobile network you cant use it in europe .to solve ths codes are the best method .to purchase codes visit Ihav.net here they ask the mobel model and the imei number of your mobile .finally they genarate codes to unlock your mobile at free of cost.

Yes,You will be able to use it.
But your phone must be unlocked one.If it's locked by some network,you will need to to unlock your T-mobile locked phone to put prepaid sim card which is available in Europe.For unlocking visit Unlock-free.com Here you can unlock your phone within a minute.
