...when he does? he most certainly has the power he already messed up a few enemy's with captain = power.but is he smart,calm,and will he even follow orders from head captain last time rukia got busted he blew up 1 million zanpaktu.lol
 
Ichigo could easily become a captain. There was actually a short after one ofthe episodes that showed that ichigo denieng a request to become a captain. He dies not wanna be one and wants to stay in the human world
