Can my truck fit 285 tires?

I have a '99 Silverado K1500 Extended Cab 4x4. I have stock 265/75/R16 tires and stock wheels (rims). Can I fit BF Goodrich All-Terrains that are 285s? I've seen some other people ask this, but they have a few years younger or older than my truck, and my truck is at somewhat of an odd year.

yes they will fit. I have a '00 with 285's on it. Backs fit right on, fronts will, but I did have to crank my t-bars a little to keep them from rubbing. hope this helps
