Can one travel on a part-time H1B?

I am on my F1 and my OPT expires in January 2010. My employer wants to file a part time H1B and make me work for like 30 hours a week till they can afford to pay me full time. My question is that is it safe to travel if I am on a part time H1? I will have to go for stamping in my home country, so are there going to be any issues there just because my H1 is part time and not full time?
