Throughout history, there have been numerous hardships that every American president had to endure and overcome. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States, underwent hardships and challenges that resulted from the Great Depression that took place in the 20th century. President Obama, America’s current president, is undergoing the same hardships that President Roosevelt had to endure. After being inaugurated at the peak of the Great Depression, President Roosevelt enforced the New Deal which aided in the recovery of the failing economy. President Obama on the other hand, recently came out with a stimulus package that will hopefully revive the worsening economy. President Roosevelt and President Obama both endured economic depressions throughout their presidencies and tried to resolve the deteriorating economy by imposing different solutions.
