can someone else pick up you w2 forms for you?

I moved to another state and was wondering if I could do this,I moved in Aug to another state.However I have a friend that lives down the street from my old job.So I was wondering can i have her pick up my w2 forms or is that illegal and I will just have to wait ffor my manager to send it to me.


how ever I did call my manager and gave her my new address back i think in november
 
call your manager & ask her
a lot of places haven't got them to give out yet
 
It depends on the company. They can choose to let an authorized person pick them up, but most don't becasue if you claim to never receive it they are liable.
