I'm trying to understand all of these pricing changes with Rapidshare. I initially had a premium account and I guess the remainder of that time has now been converted into Rapids. I was on the Rapid Medium plan at first which cost me 20 Rapids per day, gave me 50 GB's of storage and allowed me 5 GB's of traffic per day. First of all...What does that mean with 5 GB's of allowed traffic per day. Does that mean I can download up to 5 GB's of data per day? Also, am I charged the 20 Rapids every day, even if I don't download or upload anything?
Also, for some reason, today I received an email from Rapidshare which said that it was bumping me up to the Rapid Big plan, though I don't know why because I don't believe I went over the 5 GB's of allowed traffic in the Rapid Medium plan. So just for the heck of it I went back into my account and changed it back to Rapid Medium.
Also I'm not sure I understand what's currently in my account. I accessed my account earlier today to try to get a read on things. It was still listed as a Rapid Big account and showed that I had 3582 Rapids. I don't even know if that's a large amount or not. It also said I had 13,065 MB traffic left. I'm not sure what that means either. Is that how much left I can download before I have to buy more Rapids?
Then I did some downloading after that, and after finishing, checked my account again. It still showed that I had 3582 Rapids but my traffic was 9793 MB's. So obviously the download that I did showed up there, but why did not the Rapids go down after the download? And what happens when the traffic left gets to zero?
This has all been so confusing to me and Rapidshare has done a terrible job of explaining it. Hopefully if they get enough protest letters, they will go back to their old system. It was simpler.
