Can someone motivate me to join the USMC?

I've all ways wanted to be a Marine it's been my dream, but people are stomping on my dreams and saying I wont make it or its not worth it and a bad idea.

I don't know why I'm letting people get in my way to chase my dreams. I know I'm better than that. Please help.
