Can someone please explain Holocaust denial to me?

I don't really understand how it can be denied.
?
raul i agree but ive seen people saying it didnt happen, or less people died than claimed, which i think is ridiculous but id like to see the other side of the argument
moxie can you be more specific, or are you saying that without any reason or backing whatsoever
okay sweet so ill settle on the group consensus that it never happened and its denial is ridiculous

I don't think anyone out-right denies the Holocaust, but there are many people who question the extent to which it happened.

The Nazis wanted to cover their tracks, they hastily bombed all the gas chambers when the Americans and the English began liberating the concentration camps. After the horrific things they had done to the Jews, of course many didn't want to admit to it. There are many photographs, diaries and accounts of what truly happened, and there is more than enough solid evidence that the Holocaust did, infact, happen. The Nazis are great examples of true cowards. Some people I think, are really just horribly ashamed and humiliated at their actions, or the actions of the government (at the time). Lying to themselves just makes them feel better I suppose, but that doesn't make the pain and suffering go away.
