Can someone tell me what to use with the new Macbook Pro (Lion) when trying to burn

a DVD? I have the 4.37gb dvd-r cds and the movie files I want to burn.

Do I use iMovie, Final Cut Pro, or would you recommend another application for burning DVDs?

Also do the files I burn have to be in .avi format or anything else specific? Will .mkv files work?
