Can Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc do "multitasking"?

The phone is nice but it would be a huge downfall if it can't do multitasking

every android phone can multi task. if you hold down the home button it brings up the icons of the last 8 opened applications. with newer HTC phones if you pull down the notification bar at the top the most recent apps are shown in a horizontally scrolling list
