Can storm mess up one directv Receiver, but not others in house?

The receiver in my bedroom is messed up, but the others in my house are working fine. Could a storm that just passed be the cause of one receiver not being able to have signal?

They work off the same satellite, but if you look at the end of the dish and see two round plastic LNB's, your could have took a power or lightning strike.

Unplug your receiver for 3 mins. and make sure you disconnect from the wall. Don't just turn off the power strip and plug it in and see if it reboots and starts working.
