i know t-mobile don't carry iphones but lets say i bought an iphone from AT&T or other country and plan to switch carriers. can i still use the iphones?
Yes, an iphone can be used for tmobile. They only thing is you need to have someone jailbreak it. (And yes, it is legal to do). Once your iphone is jailbroke, then tmobile can assist you in connecting it.Tmobile does not have a data plan for it either. The only thing is you will NOT get the full iphone experience (depending on the quality of the jailbreak). You will not be able to surf the internet (unless on wifi), you can't send or receive picture messaging either. You have access to the App store (if using wifi) and can still download apps but the free ones. If the phone is jailbroken properly, you can download all apps (even if they cost) for free! And your iphone will get slower and slower because Apple is not updating your software on the phone. And if you connect the jailbroken phone to itunes to do a software update, your phone will reset and it will not be functional! and you will have to go pay to get it jailbroken again! Some people charge up to $70 to jailbreak a phone. So if your going to want to go through all this trouble to have an iphone, then switch providers. I do not think it is worth it!
Hi mustang,
Yes,you will do it through the network unlocking. For unlocking your iphones you can approach your service provider or else try to buy an unlocking service from any one of the online unlocking service providers like SuperUnlockCodes.com Here you can unlock your iphones using Remote unlocking method. It's one of the best and safe way to unlock your iphones without jailbreaking. But one condition this unlocking service doesn't support for AT&T network based iphones.
