Can the Motorola BR50 battery (black cover) be used in place of the SNN5696B

(white cover) Motorola PEBL U6? My current battery is the SNN5696B battery and it does not hold a charge for very long. I have been looking into replacement batteries and have stubled upon the BR50. All websites claim that this battery will work with the Motorola PEBL U6 but I am not completely convinced that they are compatable. The BR50 is 3.7V and the SNN5695B is 3.6V. Will the BR50 work or will it mess up my phone?
