My thesis is.. stand up for your beliefs// more or less.. I spent ALOT of time on it so I hope it's not bad >.< Standing up for what you believe in isn’t always easy. If you grew up on strict societal beliefs and values, any opposing them will stir up commotion. In Marriage Is a Private Affair, Namaeka and Nenes marriage face a lot of conflict. Okeke, Hamaekas father, chooses a woman for Namaeka to marry but is shocked to find out that his son has married a woman behind his back. To make matters worse, the woman is from a different tribe than her husband. Okeke and the tribe are in uproar about the marriage. When word reaches the couples village, Nene is ostracized by them women at the villages meeting. In the mist of all the conflict, the two remain married .After 8 years the couple finally break through the tribes prejudice and slowly become accepted by them. You have to stand up for your beliefs in order for any change to be possible. Okeke seems to be the only one who is struggling to make peace with his son but when his grandchildren want to see him, you can that he is ready to break down. Thanks, I will give you 5 stars for helping me.
