Can you get malware on nokia phones?

I was on my nokia 6300 phone internet yesterday, when a Java Script message appear on my phone, telling me to do a free scan and download Xp antivirus immediately. It looked very official, but I got very susicipious because when my last pc got infected with malware, i did a research and notice that xp antivirus was listed as malware so i hit the off button and came out of the internet. How did this malware appear on my phone in the first place? And did Java Script have lapse secruity hole? Ps i don't get it on my Samsung fone which also has the internet, only on my nokia phone.

one of the first viruses appeared on j2me is "RedBrowser".
