can you help me? a struggling new writer?

i'm trying to write a column to enter the newspaper club in our high school but i can't seem to find a good topic? could you please help? any suggestions? what topic would be good and readable by all that is a column article?

If you want to write, you're going to have to at least be able to think up some basic ideas for yourself. What's going on at your high school or in your community that your fellow students are concerned about? Write about that.

Maybe you can try writing about how students coupe with changing from the lazy days of summer, to getting back into the school routine?

The school year just started so write about how everyone is coping with the new year.

What do you miss from last year? So far how do the teachers rank? The food is better or worse? What has changed from last year that is good and bad?
