Got me a 2g Iphone last week and love it to bits. I know my stuff and have no problem with apps and games and add-ons and cydia and usually if I do have a problem I ask google but even google isn't helping me.
So here it is:
I wanted to spruce up my Iphone with some new themes (as you do) so I got witerboard and started downloading themes, they didnt show up, ok, lets ask google, "make sure your themes are in the proper folder" Library/themes. Yep present and correct. This went on for a while and downloaded some more themes and ssh'd them to the folder to see if that would change anything. No such luck.
I also had installer 4 on the Iphone and tried to download some themes through that, BINGO, the themes started appearing, so I ssh'd and found them in the summerboard/themes folder, ok, now we are getting somewhere, so I moved my ssh'd themes from library/themes to summerboard/themes and they started to show up in winterboard. BUT only maybe 1 in 10 themes actually work on the Iphone, right now I have BlackNeonAgua theme on my Iphone which is ok, I guess, best of a bad bunch, but with the other 9 out of 10 the theme seems to load, ie: the icons start to fly off like it's changing theme, then same old wallpaper and it reverts back to the common Iphone theme.
So my questions are:
Why isnt winterboard locating themes in library/themes and only seeing summerboard/themes?
Why won't 9 out of 10 themes not load right?
I have re-installed winterboard several times, and I always check that no other themes are selected so there is no overlapping.
Any help at all would be really appreciated.
