I'm thinking a lot about different dreams that I have because I looked up online what it meant if you always tip-toed in your dreams and it means that you're 'walking on egg-shells' type thing, and ain't that the truth. So, I have another dream of mine from a long time ago and I was wondering if you could interpret this one, please? Thanks...

I will never forget this one dream I had when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I dreamed that I had fallen asleep on the couch, in my living room. And in my dream, I woke up and saw a hole in the ground that was just SO BRIGHT!!! It had an incredible light shining from it. And there was a ladder leading down into this circle in the ground--and of course, being my adventurous self, I went down into the hole. And it was this very long room with like gold walls and gold EVERYTHING. And at the end was a throne and so I immediately thought 'God'... and in my dream I thought that too, but I never saw His face or any part of Him. So what could THIS mean?

Is this the earliest dream that you remember? Some analysts say that the earliest dream you can remember predicts the issue, problem, or quest that will influence the entire direction of your life. (Carl Jung, the great psychoanalyst, wrote that the earliest dream he had, when he was 3-4 years old, preoccupied him all his life.) If this is such a dream for you, then it suggests that your life will be one of searching for God and you will find Him. There is one thing about your dream that I find very striking. Most people think of God as being "up there," where we think of heaven as being. But in your dream, the golden place with the throne that made you think of God (and a throne is the "seat" or the place where someone reigns) is down below. Do not interpret this superstitiously as referring to hell. I say that because this sounds like a very positive dream, and if it were about hell it would not have a good feeling. Symbolically the bright hole in the ground suggests the unconscious mind, which is often imaged as being below, in the depths of our soul. Since dreams are a way to make the unconscious conscious, maybe a study of your dreams and intuitions will be one way in which you learn about God. Your unconscious is already full of light at four years old. I'd say that's pretty promising.
