Can you name some interesting political events/topics since the 1950s?

I need a topic for my final politics research essay. Nothing too current, because I need at least 10 sources from scholarly works and books.

I had a few suggestions from my teacher: globalization, six day war, fall of the Berlin wall, CIA sponsored terrorism (coups), US invasion of Iraq, Nuclear proliferation, etc. It can basically be anything that can be researched extensively.

The one topic that stood out for me was the Six Day War. I guess I could do my essay on its impact with relations in the middle east.

But are there any other interesting general topics that come to mind?

Not asking for a thesis, just a general area of focus:)
Of course there is loads to chose from! I've done my research, but there is so much that I'm having trouble deciding. I wanted to know your opinions, what stuck out for you within this time frame.

I'd say the fall of the Berlin wall would be a good one, though if you could gather enough information the recent middle eastern uprising could go very well. You could explain about modern demonstrating Compared to past that kind of thing? Soviet Union... Lots of things!

no there has been so many ,the way to learn is to do own research , you have loads to choose from go do it sorry
