i was in a chat room at 321chat.com , and some one private chatted me saying they work for the dight sent my ip address in because i was a pedophile???. i am 15,?? i asked him if he could not have them send the letter and he said he wont be able to do that. was this guy playing a joke on me? how can i tell?
i was in a a regular teen chat room.
 
Dude I would tell your parents, unless you really did, hes saying you looked up child porn. Which can get secretely uploaded onto your computer by downloading things. I saw a news program of a 17 years old that got arrested for looking up child porn. He didn't, he downloaded an unsafe file that uploaded it onto his computer. The police slammed down his door and put him under arrest. This is a serious matter, and you don't want the police thinking you did that.

But again this could just be a joke...
 
ya, he was screwin with you. He can track your IP, but even then he would have to be a pretty good hacker, if it was an encrypted page (https instead of http). Even if he could get your IP, that would give him a location and some stuff about your computer. he probably wasnt even an admin because they usually have special tags on, and you would immediatly would have been IP banned anyways.
 
Depends what you did. He can report you and then your isp will tell you w.e is that they tell there customers. But i guess he was jokeing.
