Can you use an AT&T phone with your Rogers sim card?

I've heard that if you're with Rogers you can get an AT&T phone and just put your Rogers sim card in it. Does anybody know how this works and if you need to do anything special to get it to work?

HI no you can't use your phone with rogers network until you unlock it from AT&T network ..You can easily unlock your phone using sites like Unlocking4Free.com here they generate network unlock code for some older mobile models at free of cost ..You can make use of it and unlock your phone from AT&T then freely use it with rogers or any other GSM sim ......
