I worked at a family restaurant that paid me "under the table" yes that is illegal and i know that now, i did not know that was until the new place I applied at told me so. Well the new place called there to verify that I did work there, 1 cause i got the job because of restaurant experience, and 2 to make sure that i was not making it up. Well my boss said he did not know me and refused to tell them the Truth. I have no legal paper work to show that I worked there, but I do have witnesses and regular customers that could state that I worked there....So my question is what can i do about it and also i am now longer working there and have not gotten the last bit of money that they still owe me and they cost me the job that I should be working at now because they lied so I am currently unemployed
