I wanted to downgrade my BlackBerry 9300 from OS 6 to OS 5, so I read guides on the internet, backed up my device and wiped it with the BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife program. After it had finished wiping, I got to the 507 error screen and clicked the 'Load OS' button in the program and selected OS 5. However, when this loads and connects to my device, I get an error saying "The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have BlackBerry device Software for the device you have connected to your computer".
I have tried this with BlackBerry OS 6 too and got the same error.
I have also installed both BlackBerry OS's on my computer. I downloaded these operating systems from the BlackBerry website and searched for Virgin Media. Do I have the right ones as I think I may not have downloaded the correct OS for my service provider. I am on Virgin Mobile in the UK, does anyone have any links to the operating systems for this?
I am very worried as the BlackBerry is now stuck on the 507 screen and I cannot do anything. Please help!
Thanks!
