canon g7 vs g9 and g10?

Hi all,

I was wondering why the canon g7, an older model, costs more on the web (600+) than the newer version g9 and g10. The former models can be found less than $600 to as cheap as $400ish.

Is the Canon g7 a more superior camera than its successors, or more popular?
