Well the fact that your Internet Explorer is suddenly gone certainly points to the possibility of a virus being present. You'll want to have that checked out. Firefox definitely is a better browser than IE though. Once you get used to it, I'm sure you'll agree. Firefox is asking you to install flash player (again) because the version used by IE isn't the same/compatible with Firefox. You'll want to go here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:7 Download adobe Flash player. It'll save a file on your computer that you'll have to run to install it. While you're at it I would go ahead and install the windows media player plug in as well as the java one. You'll probably save your self some hassle later on. I'd also suggest you head over here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122 and install tab mix plus. It has a nice little feature that keeps everything in one window (I don't remember if this option is on by default) and it automatically opens links to new websites in a new tab. It's always rather annoying to be reading an article and they give you a link to more info about something and that link opens in the same window/tab meaning you have to hit the back button (sometimes several times) to go back and continue reading the article. This plug in takes that annoyance away. Hope this helps!
