Ok it was about this boy who was on a ship with his mom and the ship sunk and they got separated and a black man who was a cook on the ship and they were on this little boat and the boy woke up blind one day while still on the little boat and then they landed on an island in the devils island thingy and then a hurricane came and killed the cook and a few days after that the boy got rescued and had surgery so he could see again then when he was an adult he went back to the devil island thingys and searches all the islands with his eyes closed so he can rember? Any idea what the name of this book is called I read it a long time ago and can't rember the name of it please help thanks
