Can't watch Xvid movies online?

I want to watch a movie on the site watchmovies.net. When I click on a link for a movie it says that I need to install Xvid. So I did this, restarted my computer but when I go on the movie it still says that I need to install Xvid!. Could it be the browser I'm using? At the moment I am using Mozilla Firefox. Any answers would be much appreciated!
