can someone explain the canterbury tales for me like this? ----

If this movie was the only thing left of our civilization as a whole, what would aliens think about us as a people when they found and watched it? Were we obsessed with money? Overly violent? Treat women and minorities like second-class citizens? Now, imagine you are that alien and your source is that movie. What does it reveal about the people of the past?
