At the beginning of the Clerk's tale, his subjects claim that Walter's refusal to marry is, among his may faults, the "worst of all." Why would the people be so distressed that their lord had not married and had no desire to?

Do you think this story is meant to relate to women's submissiveness to men, or something else? Why do you feel this way?

How do you think the Wife of Bath would react to the Clerk's Tale? Explain what you think her response would be and why you think this.

I've answered them, I just wanna know other peoples opinions, or views. Please Help, if you don't wanna answer all three, then just answer one then please! Thanks for your Help!!
