Hey guys here is my newest quandry.... a few weeks ago husband and I sold our old car to my sister. Before we could transfer title/plates she took it down to the shore with no water in the radiator, needless to say it fried on the 2 hour journey down there and had to be towed to a mechanic's lot. She had to pay $170 to get it out, but a month later it is still there. I want to transfer the title, but can I do that without the tags? Can I at least go to the lot and take our tags back without paying the bill? (It is now $600!!!)
