These two people died horrifically because of christian supremacy in the united states. How then, can anyone claim this 'religion' a.k.a. hate group is a good thing? I do not see what is so righteous about gay and pregnant teenagers dying in the name of christianity.

Even as we speak, the Westboro Baptists are flying to Australia to disrupt the memorial services of the people who died in the Victoria fires.

At the same time, there are Christians in this world, and even a few right here on R&S, who are among the gentlest and most decent souls on this earth. I don't know, it's really difficult for me to reconcile as well.

Wow, nice pinning Christians with those. Your assumption is based on what in those articles? Ridiculous. The guys who killed Matthew Shepherd robbed him and were under the influence of drugs, not exactly Christian activities. And there are pro-lifers who aren't Christian.

Grow up.

Becky fell into the cracks of the law... very sad - but fear driven, not hate

Matthew was murdered by people filled with hate

neither is justifiable by any stretch of the imagination...

Nor babies dying due to radical judges and idiots claiming "womens rights". Some are so proud to even use a moniker that promotes a drug induced abortion. Silly people on 2 sides of an issue. Murder is OK if I do it but not if you do it. That is the height of hypocrisy. Christianity does not promote murder. RU482 does.

Yes, and thousands upon thousands of Christians are not murdered every year by atheists.

Never heard of them, but I'm not surprised in the least.

It would be nice to know exactly what qualifies as a hate group, I'm sure the overtly religious officially qualify as a people.

It is sad what happened to these people. However, it was not a Christians doing. There are some people out there that claim to be Christian for the publicity. These people do evil things in the hopes that you will see them as Christians and associate evil with Christianity. I love everyone, regardless of their gender, sexual preference, promiscuity, etc. Who are we to judge? It is not like we, ourselves, are without sin, so how can we cast stones? Most Christians think this way.

Besides, I could ask, why are all Atheists violent? And that question would have no grounds. Just because someone does violent things as an Atheist doesn't mean that you can categorize all Atheists as violent.

One of the ten commandments is "thou shalt not commit murder". So obviously the people that did this are not Christians.
