We are getting a new house, and I hate to say it, but I dont think I want our cats on the new carpet :( .... they ARE neutered, but they like to pee on everything. I DONT wanna give them away, they are my babies....do you think it would work to fence in the backyard and keep them there? It is a big yard, 1+ arce. I dont want to just let them roam free, one is declawed, and I also dont want them getting run over.
My question is...Do you think they could somehow escape the fence?????
I would still bring them inside to cuddle, but I dont want them unsupervised on the new carpets :)
Thanks for any answers!

If your cats have never been outdoors, that would be very confusing to them, to suddenly be tossed outside. You can fence the yard, but cats can climb fencing....so unless you FULLY fence (including a fenced ''ceiling'' to prevent them from climbing out or something climbing in), then you cannot truly keep them safe outdoors.

Other than that, you can invest in some good quality ''pet odor & stain'' carpet cleaner and use it frequently.
