When my son was born, we hired a woman to help out. She was from central america (Guatemalan I believe, and legally in the country)
She made a recipe that used cauliflower battered with egg (mostly egg, I do not remember flour) and served in a tomato sauce (which might have been spaghetti sauce).
I am looking for a recipe: start with cauliflower, boil it with a little salt. Dip it in an egg mixture. end result is cauliflower in little sacs floating in the tomato sauce. I have searched the internet several times trying to come up with something similar but have had no luck. I imagine this is comfort food that falls beneath the foodies and chow hounds.
Thanks.
