My male veiled chameleon, named Pierre, is about a foot long, nose to end of tail, and probably about a year and a half old (I've had him a year, and he was a juvenile or younger when I got him).

The question I have is how do I know how much I should feed him? With all of my other reptiles, you could put in a certain amount, then come back a few minutes later and remove what hadn't been eaten. Such is not the case with Pierre. He enjoys sitting on my hand when I feed him, so I can see how much he eats, and I am very worried. I just watched him finish off 50ct waxworms. Not believing that he could possibly fit them all, I checked his mouth, and sure enough you could SEE the last of the waxworms sitting in his throat.

None of this has bothered him. He is still wandering around like nothing special happened. Am I just worrying over nothing? Suggestions?

Note: I understand that chameleons are not to be handled, as they become stressed easily. I have had others before Pierre, and I heartily agree to this train of thought. However, Pierre is doesn't fit into that category, and when I try to leave him alone, he becomes more stressed. You want to complain, leave a suggestion first. Thanks.
