Changing Front Breaks on Ford Escort?

It is a late 90's model ford escort with a four cylinder motor, and four doors. My friends front left wheel sounds like its grinding when we hit brakes, so we are replacing the rotor, pads and caliper. His dad is a professional mechanic and will be directing me, any idea on how long this will take? We will have about 2 and a half hours.
