I am trying to change this belt on a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse and after routing everything there is a good 3-4 inches of slack! I tried following the diagram that came with the car but it shows an extra pulley I'm supposed to wrap it around but there isn't one in the car. I could try tightening the tensioner pulley up but is it supposed to be that loose in the first place? And is the tensioner pulley made to be able to tighten that much?
