Chase Utley still has it.

With his Philadelphia Phillies cruising to a 7-2 win over the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, the 32-year-old second baseman pulled off one of the most exciting plays of the 2011 season — an inside-the-park home run topped up by a magnificent head-first slide into home plate, just past the diving tag of Giants catcher Eli Whiteside.

Utley's dash came off Giants starting pitcher Barry Zito and took place in the bottom of the sixth inning. Larry Granillo's @TaterTrotTrkr timed Chase's circuit at a total of 15.2 seconds. The homer was Utley's seventh since returning at the end of May after an extended bout of tendinitis in his right knee.

Interestingly, wrestling legend Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka met with the team before the game. Think Utley applied any of the diving tips he might have gleaned from Snuka's visit?
