Cheap travel destinations for young adults?

So me and my friends are 18, and instead of paying for prom/senior trip/ graduation, we would rather take a plane somewhere. So what countries are cheap, nice, and most of all safe to visit? I'm thinking of paying less than 250$ for a round trip plane ticket. Help? Or am i being unrealistic?
 
Travel to Vancouver I live here and its an awesome place to visit
 
I don't know where you are so answering is pretty tough.

Hit a couple of your favorite bands sites that you and your friend would love to see in person. Buy a couple tix online from a REPUTABLE source. Fly in and watch the show.

Try priceline.com to help keep costs down.

Might even want to save the airfare and take a road trip to see the show. Rent a car so you all are comfortable and use the airfare to rent and gas the vehicle. If you all pool your money you should end up with some really decent rooms. Rem airlines are gouging bag fees on flights. It's no longer just the cost.
