Chest infection getting worse not better?

I've been taking amoxicillin 500mg for the past 3 days for a chest infection but instead of getting better my cough is worse and I also am getting pains in my chest when I breath in deeply and am very wheezy. I also have asthma which doesn't help. Any ideas on what to do?
