got a 2000 impala it was overheating because one of the fans didnt work.. got me new fans priced at $200... car still over heats.. as long as im driving its ok it wont over heat, i can drive it for hours but almost as soon as i stop it heats up pretty bad.. then i pik up a constant speed and it cools down bak to a good regular temp.. wen it heats up my a/c stops workin...

did you change the thermostat? or not the propper anti-freeze

just make sure the fans are working there should be 2 of them if they are mite be a bad head gasket

Have you confirmed that these new fans are actually coming on? With the A/C on you will have the secondary fan running and as the engine temp reaches between 202 and 212 degrees, the CTS= coolant temp sensor will activate the primary fan through the ECM= electrinic control module. A scanner will confirm that a request for activation is taking place. Sounds like you need a qualified technician to walk you through the diagnosis of your vehicle.
