'In the world you will have persecution...'

The question I'd like you to speak to is why it is that in the world
you will have persecution.

There are many other scriptures related to this one, and
if some wish to read around this for context, that will give
insight also.

But there is enough here if you wish. Because the question is
why would Christians have persecution in the world?

(I speak of Christians who do the things the bible teaches, are
loving etc., who are not hurting others...following the bible).

I am interested in you giving your explanation of why this happens.
You could answer this on different levels: just philosophical, or
spiritual, or moral perhaps. What brings on the persecution?

There are usually people who can't wait to make mean comments.
I think people should all just see them, see who those are who
do this. Maybe choose it as best answer??(joke, laugh etc).

Of course under the rule of the soon coming Anti-Christ Christians will be persecuted for expressing any form of their faith.

Currently many churches persecute or treat as outcasts Christians "who do the things the bible teaches, are loving etc., who are not hurting others...following the bible" because they do not practice Christianity but rather a morally perverted and politicized aberration of Jesus' teachings.

HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT:Speak out against war, marriage and capitalism as Jesus did and see what happens to you.

Matthew 5:44

44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.

Luke 20:34-36
34 Jesus answered and said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection

Acts 2:44-46

44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.

I'd say because God knew the nature of man. Christianity has been persecuted through out history (and has done its share as well) and is persecuted today (less overtly in the US but there are Communist and Arabic nations that treat Christianity like a crime punishable by death). Also bear in mind God gave this world into the keeping of Satan who particularly chooses to make war against God's followers.

To understand it, read it all, not just pick a sentence and form opinion out of it!

It says that they will be persecuted because it seems to be a recurring theme in human history. The will of the majority typically fears the minority.

The oppressed eventually becomes the oppressor as they become the majority.

Jesus (and the disciples/apostles) were starting a "new" religion, rather radical change from the OT.
In a near total jewish/OT environment, do you expect them to be showered with gifts?

It like preaching Christianity in a mosque. You can also try preaching Kabala in your church. There will always be some zealous lot that will do the extreme....

jesus was also persecuted , the bride will be persecuted but it doesn't will put to death well maby if it comes to that point but, persecutions meant by suffering for example a trial of holding on to your faith and if you can't take the persecution then it was never meant to be. a trial of your faith

Jesus was persecuted in his life on earth and if we follow Jesus we will also have some of his suffering. To follow Jesus is against human thinking, human thinking is against god
