That the Bible is Literal & meant to be taken as such. The Bible has a lot of stories in it, some good, some not so much, but they seem more Metaphorical than Literal to me. I know some Christians who feel the same way. They say that the Bible is not meant to be taken Literally but rather Metaphorically & seen as a Moral Compass or Guide. I don't see the big deal with that. On to the next thing.

Jesus Christ, do you honestly believe that he is the son of God born of a Virgin? Why can he not actually be a Metaphor of the Sun as the video below will explain? The video makes sense, does it not? The Bible says, "Let there be light & there was light. Let there be Life & there was Life" The Sun does both of these. Christians say that he alone is the manifestation of God upon Earth.

Can the Sun not be Jesus? Can it not alone be the manifestation of God upon Earth. It is the Sun that gives you Life, the Sun that gives you Light & if GOD created all the Universe & those that exist within it yet we cannot see him & so he brought as Jesus Christ so that we could see him & so that we could believe & have Life. Why then, can the Jesus Christ not be a Metaphor of the Sun itself? We CAN see the Sun, we CAN have Life through/because of the Sun, we CAN believe in the Sun & to those that believe the Sun CAN be 'proof' of God.

This is just a little debate. I would like to hear what you think about it. At my best friend's Church Questioning & Debate are encouraged. He goes to a UU Church (Unitarian Universalist) & I only get to visit him every couple of Months as he lives so far away. I plan to ask this on my next visit & thought I would ask on here first to see what kind of response I get. I'll post a link below in case you don't know what UU is & are curious. Well, let the debate begin. ^_^
