alone be authoritative? What I mean is, much of the Bible can be interpreted in many different ways, considering much of it deals with empirically unvalidatable and unfalsifiable metaphysical principles. Claiming that scripture itself is the final authority does nothing to resolve differences in interpretation.

Who's particular interpretation is authoritative? Can the Bible be read without subjective bias?

All perspectives are welcome. Thanks, if you choose to share.
"We can know, beyond the shadow of any doubt, that Scripture is true, authoritative, and reliable."

Based on who's interpretation? (That's the essence of the question.)

For instance, if I gave someone living alone on an island a Bible, who had no exposure to Christianity, would their interpretation be authoritative?
I agree, Dr. Bob. I'm not advocating papal infallibility.

My question is based on the role interpretation has in determining truth.
Tuberoot:
Regarding your answer, how would one distinguish "Holy Spirit based biblical interpretation", from "subjective interpretation that one believes is based on the Holy Spirit"?
Something tells me that faith would be necessary.
