If the point of your religion is salvation...saving people from this hell that he created, then your god doesn't seem to be doing a very good job.
Every Christian I've ever spoken with tells me that most people will be going to hell...that it's difficult to get into heaven.
Is it because your god isn't very good at getting the message across effectively, or is it because he intends for most people to not get/understand the message on go to hell?
If your version of the universe is correct, there's no way around the fact that your god is failing miserably.
scooterpoop...if your point is simply numbers, then it's also a fact that most of the world is NOT Christian.
Sorry.
That means you're wrong by your own measure.
Jordan....let's say you're correct "I don't know what I'm in for".
Whose fault is that?
Mine?
How could it be if I don't know?
Again, you've simply reinforced my stated position. Your god isn't doing a very good job if your religion is correct.
Nerdyninja - ok, what percentage makes your god a success?
If only 40% of his own creations end up being tortured forever (or simply being poofed into non-existence, depending on your understanding of hell) would you say that's successful?
Would your job allow you to be right 60% of the time and wrong 40% of the time?
How much more should your god be correct?
Holy Caliber - Really? So, those who aren't smart enough are going to hell? And you think I might be among them?
Then how is that my fault?
If I'm not smart enough, how does that even make sense?
Hopefully, you don't really mean that answer.
tida - so, you are (literally) saying god is a "love me or suffer for all eternity" situation?
wow. again, this doesn't seem very effective to me, nor does it actually sound like a choice.
the police would call that coercion.
