Hi, My car is Citroen C3 (Semi-Auto). Recently it has developed a fault probably related to gearbox (?). Last week, after slowly driving about 20 minutes in a heavy congestion zone, I could not let the car run after I stopped at traffic light, no mater how I depressed the accelerator. You can imagine how was the chaos at the junction because of my car, a lot of cars, buses were stuck behind my car!. But after switch off the engine for 10 minutes, fortunately, I can manage to drive my car out of the junction, apparently nothing wrong,... then I decided to drive the car home, running 90 miles on motorway without any problem (quite smoothly). The problem seems (only) to happen when the car moved slowly and stopped several times, but the car is okay when driving at high speed in motorway (It seems the first gear is not engaged?,or overheating?). Gear box oil and timing belt have been changed a couple of years ago. I checked, everything under bonnet is okay, and there is no any warning sign in the dashboard. Do you know what is the main problem, and cost for fixing it? Taking the car to a Citroen dealer garage is not economical (consider the value of the car). Your advices please? Many Thanks.
