citroen c5 2.0 hdi est 03 reg. headlights come on when indicating, any help please?

Predominantly when indicating to turn right, the headlamps come on and cancel the indicators after about 3 or 4 blinks of the indicator.
can happen turning left but not as often.also when the car leans forward on breaking. if I see it happening and twist the indicator stalk slightly back toward me sometimes it stops, any help greatly appreciated

It is pointing to a faulty column switch if you can control its malfunction by moving it a different way?Hope this helps
